Although this video series incorporates my own research, additional sources, interpretations, presentation and editorial work, I believe it is important to acknowledge the authors and researchers whose work has helped inform it.
The specter of the marauding serial killer has become a relatively common feature on the American landscape. Reactions to these modern-day monsters range from revulsion to morbid fascination-fascination that is either fed by, or a product of, the saturation coverage provided by print and broadcast media, along with a dizzying array of books, documentary films, websites, and "Movies of the Week".
The prevalence in Western culture of images of serial killers (and mass murderers) has created in the public mind a consensus view of what a serial killer is. Most people are aware, to some degree, of the classic serial killer 'profile.' But what if there is a much different 'profile' one that has not received much media attention?
Despite the conventional portrayal of serial killers as lone, psychologically disturbed individuals driven solely by their own inner demons, there is a compelling argument that many of the most prominent serial killers may have been intelligence assets. Numerous serial killers appear to exhibit characteristics associated with mind control programs, such as those investigated under Project MK-Ultra, displaying telltale patterns including early childhood abuse, dissociative disorders, pedophilia, and connections to known or suspected intelligence fronts (such as the military, prisons, mental hospitals, and cults). Many of these murders, far from being random acts of violence, may instead constitute targeted assassinations or clean-up operations carried out on behalf of various criminal enterprises (including murder-for-hire operations, drug trafficking networks, and sex rings) with which the killers are often associated. Other murders may have no apparent political motive, yet fit the profile of Satanic cult killings or a domestic version of the Phoenix Program, aimed at terrorizing the public into submission. While this is undoubtedly a controversial position to take on serial killers, there is often an astounding number of common elements across individual cases that raise questions about possible government or intelligence involvement. The "serial killer" presented to the public may, in some instances, be a fall guy taking responsibility for the actions of a larger group or, in rarer cases, an entirely innocent patsy.
